DSJ Global is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Customs Manager to join the logistics team of our client based in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of customs compliance regulations as well as experience managing logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant customs laws and regulations
- Manage import/export documentation processes
- Develop strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency while minimizing costs
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across different departments
Qualifications:
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in a related field such as Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
- Minimum 5 years' work experience within the industry sector demonstrating expertise on how best practice can be applied effectively through innovation;
- In-depth understanding of international trade procedures; regulatory frameworks including but not limited to EU (European Union), WCO( World Custom Organization) etc.;
Skills Required:
To succeed at this role you must demonstrate strong skills that include;
Customs Compliance - Knowledgeable about custom tariffs like VAT & duty rates, HS codes classification systems which are required by law when importing goods into Europe from outside European countries..
Logistics Operations- Experience overseeing end-to-end logistical planning process encompassing shipping routes optimization , warehousing locations options along delivery schedules management .
Leadership Skills - Proven ability leading teams under high pressure situations ensuring their focus on meeting timelines without compromising quality standards.
