Job Description:
They are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Commodities Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Global Commodities Manager, you will be responsible for managing the sourcing, procurement, and supply chain activities related to critical commodities across our global operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for key commodities to ensure continuity of supply, cost-effectiveness, and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and align commodity strategies with overall company objectives.
- Lead supplier relationship management initiatives, including negotiations, contract management, and performance evaluations.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities within the global commodities market.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise procurement processes, enhance efficiency, and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Monitor and assess supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to commodity sourcing and procurement activities.
- Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the procurement function to drive value creation and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Strong negotiation skills and demonstrated ability to drive cost savings and value generation through supplier relationships.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in utilising procurement and supply chain management tools, ERP systems, and MS Office Suite.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
