My client, a leading manufacturing organization is looking to bring on a Master Scheduler to support their team. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring effective planning and scheduling of projects, resources, and activities to meet organizational goals. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across various departments to optimize schedules and resource allocation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and Maintain Master Schedule: Create and maintain a comprehensive master schedule that outlines all project activities, milestones, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate with Project Managers: Collaborate with project managers to gather project requirements, timelines, and resource needs, and integrate them into the master schedule.
- Resource Allocation: Allocate resources efficiently to ensure optimal utilization and alignment with project priorities.
- Schedule Optimization: Continuously review and analyze the master schedule to identify potential conflicts, bottlenecks, or resource constraints. Implement adjustments as needed to optimize schedules and minimize disruptions.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and constraints that may impact project schedules and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
- Communication: Communicate schedule updates, changes, and recommendations to stakeholders, project teams, and leadership to ensure alignment and facilitate decision-making.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor project progress against the master schedule, track key performance indicators, and provide regular updates and reports to management.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, or efficiency gains in scheduling and resource management practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of scheduling experience in a manufacturing and high volume environment
- Proven experience in project scheduling, resource management, or related roles.
- Proficiency in project management software/tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus.
