Our client are one of the largest and most well-known beverage manufacturers globally. Last year they achieved sales of over $90bn in more than 200 countries globally. As a process engineer, you will play a key role in the team to improve and streamline production and processes to increase sustainability and efficiency of processing/production lines. You will work cross-functionally with other teams and contribute to the development of beverage filling processes.
Responsibilities:
- Engage in new equipment & process risk assessment processes to determine their capability to achieve target product design and support buy/no buy decisions.
- Lead the development, testing, and qualification of process systems and equipment, utilising internal and external resources to support category initiatives.
- Lead scale-up tests at manufacturing locations, conducting data collection/analysis, and communicating trip reports highlighting results and key next steps.
- Collaborate with Food Safety and Quality teams to ensure all components and process systems are capable of producing and sustaining safe and stable products.
- Design and execute Design of Experiment to screen, model, verify, and ensure the statistical capability and robustness of pilot and commercial processes.
- Create and maintain a map of knowledge to capture equipment, processes, assets, and models at sites covering all Foods Category.
- Proactively identify skill/capability and system gaps, proposing corrective actions, including coaching, training courses, and new/modified processes.
- Contribute to work streams aimed at improving ways of working across the team, such as enhancing business processes to drive greater efficiency's, sharing knowledge to foster better team cohesion, and developing others through coaching and embedding best practices.
- Actively participate in and moderate regular technology connect meetings, issuing meeting notes to document outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Chemical or Food Engineering or Food Science with a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in process engineering/development/commercialisation in the Food & Beverage industry.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and distill it into meaningful information, including interpreting process data, experimental design, and statistical process control inference.
- Demonstrated performance in developing and commercialising new processes/products/equipment in collaboration with various stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in stressful, fast-paced situations, with the personal leadership to positively influence self and peers.
- Good presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to travel within Europe and internationally, estimated at 25-30%.
