We are currently searching for a skilled and experienced Procurement Team Leader with expertise in Direct Procurement of Chemicals based out of our client's office located in Hamburg, Germany.
Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement activities related to chemicals by developing sourcing strategies that align with business objectives.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers on pricing negotiations and contract management while keeping up-to-date market knowledge
- Develop relationships across functions including R&D, Quality Control/Assurance teams along other departments ensuring efficient supply chain processes
- Lead team members through training programs designed around their areas of responsibilities
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management preferred).
- Experience - Minimum 6 years experience working directly within chemical direct procurement roles; proven track record showing increased responsibility over time managing small groups.
- Communication skills - Exceptional verbal/written communication abilities demonstrated when interacting at various levels both internally and externally from company stakeholders
- Language proficiency - Fluency English required per international nature job requirements
