Production Supervisor

Lead a dynamic team in a lean production setting, ensuring optimal quality, safety, reliability, and productivity. Oversee compliance with food safety regulations on assigned shifts and lines.

Responsibilities:

  • Foster an environment of trust, entrepreneurship, and goal achievement
  • Motivate, support, and coach employees to be self-directed
  • Optimize staffing levels for peak performance
  • Form and lead teams to minimize equipment downtime, reduce setup time, and enhance throughputs and yield
  • Implement process improvements to prevent defects and boost yields, promoting lean thinking and informed decision-making
  • Drive and manage improvement projects, presenting results to production management
  • Evaluate and provide feedback on employee performance, implementing progressive discipline when necessary
  • Administer the collective bargaining agreement, professionally resolving labor grievances
  • Ensure thorough employee training and identify additional needs

Requirements:

  • Associate/Bachelor Degree
  • 3+ years of experience within food manufacturing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven problem-solving ability
  • Effective leadership skills
  • Proficient in personal computer use
  • Ability to navigate a diverse environment at all organizational levels
