Position Summary: Located in the Greater Indianapolis area, a new frozen seafood production facility is seeking a Project Engineer to join the corporate engineering division at this site. This role involves supporting business goals by identifying, planning, and overseeing various projects related to facility, processing, or packaging. These projects might encompass equipment and automation for processing and packaging, construction and alterations to buildings, development or modification of production lines for new products, infrastructure and utilities, material handling engineering, and safety. The Project Engineer will engage daily with Operations, Maintenance, Sanitation, and Engineering departments, while reporting directly to the Director of Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation of all production equipment
- Offer technical expertise and assistance during the start up and ongoing operation of production systems
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations team to troubleshoot issues and optimize production lines for efficiency
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements
- Oversee and coordinate capital projects
