Company Summary: A global leader in the Food Production sector is experiencing rapid growth in Europe and is seeking a motivated S&OP Director to join their team in Munich. As an S&OP Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic alignment between demand forecasting, supply planning, and business objectives.
The S&OP Director will be responsible for:
- Demand Forecasting: Utilize historical data, market trends, and customer insights to develop accurate demand forecasts for our products/services.
- Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess stock and obsolescence.
- Supply Planning: Collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components to support production schedules.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, production, and logistics teams to align supply chain activities with business objectives and customer requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify potential supply chain risks and develop strategies to mitigate disruptions, such as supplier shortages or transportation delays.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain performance.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, and service levels to evaluate the effectiveness of supply chain operations.
- Communication: Regularly communicate with internal stakeholders and external partners to provide updates on supply chain status, forecast changes, and any potential issues.
The S&OP Director should have the following qualifications and skills:
- Proven experience in demand or supply planning, with a deep understanding of S&OP processes and methodologies.
- Fluency in English and any other languages are beneficial
- Proficiency in supply chain planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and make strategic decisions.
