Senior Contracts Specialist

Seeking a Senior Contracts Specialist who will be responsible for establishing a Contracts Lifecyle Management Process that contributes to reducing contractual risk and increasing operational efficiency. The successful candidate will oversee a portfolio of contracts that will support both capital construction and operations across the United States.
Senior Contracts/Purchasing Specialist Main Responsibilities
- Oversee Contract Lifecycle Management Process for the Company.
- Streamline contracting process by implementing automated tools and systems
- Develop and maintain contract repository for all Master Service Agreements, Consultancy Agreements, and other agreements for the Company.
- Responsible for purchasing services for all capital construction, operations and corporate services categories.
- Develop and manage Supplier Prequalification Process.
- Manage RFP process including development of bid packages, negotiating contract terms and pricing, and analyzing commercial aspects of the supplier proposals.
- Work with Legal in the development of contract templates.
- Ensures efficient post award contract administration of contracts, including contractual correspondence, amendments and change orders, and resolving of invoice discrepancies and managing PO and Contract close out activities.
- Serve as liaison between internal and external parties during contract development and negotiation stages.
- Responsible for the development of contracts management and administration processes
Senior Contracts Administrator/Specialist - Qualifications
- 4-7 years of work experience specifically in the areas of contracts management / administration, and procurement supporting operations and capital construction projects.
- Oil and Gas experience preferred, specifically in drilling and well workovers.
- Working knowledge of procurement processes and methodologies.
- Experience with contracts management systems and processes.
- In depth experience in preparing and reviewing contracts and negotiating terms.
- Working knowledge of sourcing processes and methodologies.
- Proficiency in the formation and administration of contracts.
- Strong negotiation skills with proven track record of delivering value and results.
- Working knowledge of change management processes pertaining to change orders, amendments and claims dispute.
- In depth experience with online contractor safety management systems (i.e., IS Net World, Avetta).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to produce clear and well-organized documents.
- Ability to multitask, manage time and prioritize tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
- Proficient in SAP.
