DSJ Global is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Supply Chain Manager for one of our esteemed A&D clients in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The client operates within the aerospace defense industry and has established themselves as leaders through their innovative approach to solving complex problems.
Job Description:
As a Sr. Supply Chain Manager with this client, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects related to supply chain management from sourcing raw materials to delivering finished products efficiently while ensuring quality control measures are met at every stage along the way. The successful candidate will naturally assume leadership roles and excel in mentoring and developing professionals. They should command respect across all organizational levels and be capable of gaining the confidence of senior management, peers, and staff alike.
Additionally, candidates must demonstrate a clear understanding of and adherence to ethical principles, company values, code of conduct, and policies. The role demands flexibility and the willingness to take on diverse responsibilities within a small and fiscally conservative organization.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Lead the implementation of the supply chain vision and strategic direction, overseeing planning and execution activities across various busines processes.
- Responsibilities encompass systems development and utilization, cost estimation, source selection, strategic partnering, supplier relationship management, compliance/governance, and program execution.
- Take charge of site supply inventory management, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to ensure operational excellence in procuring materials, equipment, and services.
- Guide local supply chain teams to participate in and optimize cross-site processes and procedures, fostering efficiency and standardization across all manufacturing sites.
- Establish and nurture a high-performance supply chain team, including recruitment, training, development, succession planning, and performance management.
- Manage the annual procurement budget to align with company goals, striving to achieve savings while delivering on objectives.
- Collaborate with site leadership and teams to enhance business performance in supply chain management, prioritizing internal and external customer satisfaction. Continuously implement best practices and strategies to improve procurement processes.
- Implement supply chain management systems and processes to optimize pricing, quality, and delivery schedules, monitored through site metrics.
- Lead supplier selection, evaluation, and management processes, ensuring robust relationships to secure high-quality, reliable supplies and information.
- Develop site-level metrics to evaluate and enhance the value of the supply chain in alignment with division objectives, providing regular updates to business and site leadership.
- Identify and advocate for information technology solutions and trends to enhance supply chain management and achieve cost savings.
- Travel to other sites and supplier locations, which may amount to 25-30% of the time.
Skills Required:
- Demonstrated experience in utilizing quality systems, lean and continuous improvement processes, and state-of-the-art supply chain practices.
- Proficiency in ERP and MRP systems is essential.
- Commodity management, operations/materials management, and some exposure to logistics pertaining to customer shipments.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related degree is required.
- Minimum of 7-10 years well-rounded supply chain management experience in progressively senior positions.
- Experience MUST include supply chain management at a senior site level within the aerospace and defense industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ISM or APICS certification
- Master Degree or MBA is preferred.
