Reporting directly to the Department Head - Procurement, the Strategic Sourcing Manager role involves proactively managing our raw material supply base to not just meet but exceed standards in service, quality, cost, inventory, growth, and innovation. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will also spearhead strategic sourcing, supply risk management, supplier relationship cultivation, and cost optimization efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure top-tier performance in service, quality, cost, and inventory management.
- Conduct regular business reviews to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and stay abreast of category trends.
- Develop and execute strategies to mitigate supply risks for critical raw materials, involving comprehensive cross-functional assessments.
- Lead efforts to qualify new suppliers and materials, minimizing supply chain risks while optimizing costs through negotiations and bid events.
- Implement category strategies to meet organizational needs while maximizing value, including expanding the supplier network through thorough assessment and negotiation.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers and third-party partners to drive competitive advantages, tailored to their strategic importance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and execute cost reduction initiatives, leveraging market insights and negotiation techniques.
- Develop and mentor team members, fostering a positive work environment that encourages growth and engagement.
Work Schedule & Benefits:
- Full-time, exempt position with standard hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
- Overtime as needed, occasional travel to suppliers and warehouses (10-15%).

- Salary range: $118,000 - $155,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field required.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in procurement or supply chain roles, preferably in the restaurant industry.
- Expertise in strategic sourcing, negotiations, and contracts with at least 5 years' experience.
- Previous experience in food manufacturing/restaurant industry preferred.
- Certification(s) such as Procurement or Purchasing Professional, Supply Chain Professional, Lean, or Six Sigma preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering career development and growth.
