Responsibilities:
- Assisting the team in meeting target cost commitments to streamline the project acquisition phase.
- Maintaining regular communication with Product Line Management to comprehend and influence the Product Line Strategy and prioritise tasks.
- Developing the NPI (New Product Introduction) road map to convey future requirements, goals, and objectives of the Product Line, ensuring awareness and addressing gaps across various Procurement Functions.
- Taking responsibility for timely and budgeted New Product Introduction and supporting necessary escalations to meet customer timing and Project Financial targets.
- Initiating cost reduction efforts leveraging typical Procurement strategies such as incremental volume or VA/VE opportunities to optimise product line Operating Income.
- Ensuring compliance with Supply Chain strategy concerning low inventory, lean value streams, and days of payables outstanding.
- Participating in negotiations with significant impact to achieve project financial targets.
- Identifying and promoting process improvements and creating necessary documentation.
- Providing coaching and guidance to team members.
- Being accountable for achieving the NPI Procurement KPI scorecard for the relevant Product Lines.
- Demonstrated management experience, including leading at least a small team, and proficiency in cost management and successful negotiations.
Your Profile:
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
- Possesses a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Automotive Industry.
- Has several years of experience in Procurement, as well as in a technical field such as process engineering, product engineering, or tool manufacturing.
- Demonstrates extensive experience in collaborating with multicultural and cross-functional teams.
- Exhibits leadership experience, both in direct and functional reporting roles.
- Possesses advanced expertise in procurement competencies, including business/supply chain acumen, negotiation skills, sourcing strategy development and execution, and project/product lifecycle management.
- Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Fluent in English (negotiation level), with proficiency in German considered a plus.
